CHAPTER ONE WHAT IS REVIVAL 1.1. Revival Is When God Comes Down Revival is when God comes to a place and manifests His presence strongly to the people there.That is why people have a deep sense of God's presence, glory and power in a place where revival isw taking place. The presence of God is always accompanied by God's glory and power.
Hosea 6: 3
Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.
This is not a prophecy about Jesus' first or second coming into the world. It is the promise of God concerning revival. Rain waters the ground so that new lives can be produced. Revival revives and make many spiritually dead people live. Rain invigorates plants that have been weakened by the sun. Revival brings renewed spiritual strength to the spiritually weak and wearied.
Isaiah 64:1-2
1Oh that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that thou wouldest come down, that the mountains might flow down at thy presence,
2As when the melting fire burneth, the fire causeth the waters to boil, to make thy name known to thine adversaries, that the nations may tremble at thy presence!
In this scripture, the prophet Isaiah was crying to God for revival. He pleaded with God to come down in His great power, because He knew that when the great Lord came down, all kinds of mountains - the mountains of sin, the mountain of opposition to the Gospel, the mountain of demonic oppression, the mountain of demonic curses, all kinds of evil mountains - would quake and bowed down before Him. What a great thing revival is in the kingdom of God.
When God comes down, His glorious and powerful presence burns up all mountains of problems and of unbelief. You see, God's presence destroys the yoke, bondage and works of the devil.
Revival is when God comes and His wonderful presence destroys everything that is of the enemy.
Isaiah 25:7
And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations.
Revival is when God comes and His glorious presence causes sinners of various shades of color to tremble in fear before Him.
Isaiah 64:2
As when the melting fire burneth, the fire causeth the waters to boil, to make thy name known to thine adversaries, that the nations may tremble at thy presence!
That the nations, pagan nations, may tremble at thy presence! That is a wonderful result of revival. Sinners who loudly defy God and His words now tremble before the Lord of Host, as they stand before His presence.
Zechariah 2:10-11
10Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the LORD.
11And many nations shall be joined to the LORD in that day, and shall be my people: and I will dwell in the midst of thee, and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto thee
What happens when God comes down to dwell in the midst of His people? Sinful pagans are joined to the Lord. Revival causes sinners to repent and be joined to the Lord.
Revival is when God comes and His powerful presence dissolves the mountain of demonic problems and satanic oppression in the lives of the people. Isaiah 64:1-2

2As when the melting fire burneth, the fire causeth the waters to boil, to make thy name known to thine adversaries, that the nations may tremble at thy presence!
Micah 1:3-4 (NIV)
3 Look! The LORD is coming from his dwelling place;
he comes down and treads the high places of the earth.
4 The mountains melt beneath him
and the valleys split apart,
like wax before the fire,
like water rushing down a slope.
Revival is when God comes and His omnipotence is mightily manifested, destroying the yoke and works of the devil, setting people free from sin, Satan and sickness in the name of Jesus, and causing people to stand in awe of Him whose glory has come to be manifested and of His word. Exodus 3:2-8. God comes down to deliver His people (verse 6). From the moment God comes down wonderful things begins to happen.
Isaiah 64:3
When thou didst terrible things which we looked not for, thou camest down, the mountains flowed down at thy presence.
